The Best Guitar Magazine

  Guitar for the Practicing Musician is one of the best publication that is also rare back in those days (early 1990's) . This one I got back in December 1991 at a news stand in San Francisco, Ca. It had Geddy Lee of Rush, Marty Feldman of Megadeth and Metallica on the cover.  

  Some really good pieces of music here from really great groups of the 90's. I remember some really great European rock bands playing in Bahrain at a hotel during this period. And also some great Latin Cuban rhythm along the strip in Palm Springs, Ca. A guy was playing some really wonderful blues guitar on that same strip in sunny California.

Old Guitar Publications

Guitar Extra magazine issued on the Spring of 1991. The distribution expired in August that year. This magazine appealed to me than Guitar Player or Guitar World in that it contains some of the best guitarists in the past decades and some of their music pieces in it. The cover has B.B. King on it and articles of great blues slingers like Johnny Winter. Pre War Blues Jazz and Fusion from Eddie Lang is in this issue.
